The Meibinkan Dojo is a branch dojo of the Takamura ha Shindo Yoshin Kai led by Artur Pinto Sensei who currently holds a Chuden Mokuroku. Pinto Sensei has over 20 years experience in Nihon Budo/Bujutsu. He first met Threadgill Sensei at a TSYR seminar in Palma de Mallorca in 2007. Artur Pinto and his brother Marco Pinto, from that time forward were frequent attendees at all the European TSYR courses.

Early in 2009 Artur Pinto and Marco Pinto were given premission by Threadgill Sensei to jointly start a TSYR Study Group in Portugal. In 2011 Both Marco Pinto and Artur Pinto were awarded Shoden Kirigami Mokuroku by the Takamura ha Shindo Yoshin Ryu Hombu Dojo. With this, Artur founded the Meibinkan Dojo in Lisbon, and Marco, the Shokushinkan Dojo in Santarem.
