The Centro de Artes Marciales Budokan is located in the town
of Ronda,
some sixty miles West of Malaga, in southern Spain. It was
founded in 2001 by director Antonio Perujo, who has twenty years of
experience in the martial arts, and currently holds a 2nd Dan in
Wado-ryu karate, and a 1st dan in tai-jitsu.
The search for authentic Japanese bujutsu led him to explore
the roots
of Wado-ryu, eventually encountering Shindo Yoshin ryu at the annual
seminar given in Palma de Mallorca by Threadgill sensei.
Antonio was vividly impressed and applied for membership in the
Takamura ha Shindo Yoshin Kai . Later he was joined
by Miguel Garca de Leniz, one of his students, and a fellow seeker of
authentic Japanese bujutsu.
At the 2007 seminar held in Palma, Threadgill sensei granted permission
to open a TSYR study group in Ronda.
